Hello! I’m Katie Smith, Integrative Nutrition and Wellness Coach, artist, gardener and rock climber.
I wake up in the morning to inspire and help others live happy and healthy lives. I believe that when we are given the right tools and support, we can create the happy and healthy life we are longing for. I will provide both the tools and support you need to make that happen.
I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program based out of New York City. During the twelve months, I studied more than one hundred dietary theories and a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
My clients not only make dietary changes, they go through lifestyle changes; taking a look at the individual through a holistic approach. I’ll warn you now, I don’t have any quick weight loss pills or 21-day fixes. What I have is a program that will allow us to make changes that are tailored to your goals. We will note what is working and what needs attention. I will be there each step of the way even outside of the in-person sessions. My focus is on individuals who would like to lose weight and make lasting nutrition and lifestyle changes, as well as individuals with hormonal imbalances, inflammation, autoimmune disorders.
